The Highland Park Cinema Club is proud to showcase the student-made short films submitted into its inaugural film festival.

All 10 films showcased were created by students attending either Highland Park Middle School or Highland Park High School, to both showcase their filmmaking skills as well as compete for the top prize in the festival.

We want to first and foremost thank all ten of the fantastic students that submitted a film to the festival this year. With the global pandemic potentially limiting some filmmaker's abilities, it's amazing that they were able to create shorts of this quality.

We also wanted to thank Samuel Standridge for being a person of guidance, as well as being a great faculty advisor. Finally, thanks to the Highland Park Film Festival for helping us promote the film.

The placement of the top three films in the festival was decided by discussion and voting of the HPCC's members. In first place was voted "Breaking Point" by Ainsley Wiseman. In second place was voted "Cat Antics" by Mina Chacko. In third place was "The Misfortune" by Hadley Harbison.

Congratulations to the three winners, as well as the rest of the fantastic entries.

We hope you enjoy each of these student-made shorts.

Thank you.
